In Italy, Prolotherapy is practiced by a small number of doctors belonging to the Italian Society of Prolotherapy (SIPRO), a non-profit organization which has as its main purpose the diffusion of this branch of orthopedic medicine. In turn, SIPRO. belongs to the Heckett Hemwall Patterson Foundation (HHPF) based in Madison - Wisconsin, the world temple of prolotherapy teaching.

SIPRO, in collaboration with the Hachett Hemwall Foundation of the University of Madison Winsconsin (USA), deals with the training and updating of specialists in Prolotherapy. There are many courses that are held annually both in Italy and abroad.
