INJURIES FROM SPORTS AND PROLOTHERAPY

Prolotherapy: a regenerative method to treat sports injuries
Prolotherapy is a non-surgical orthopedic approach that has proven very effective in the treatment of sports injuries. This method, imported from the United States where it has been successfully practiced for more than fifty years in all sports injuries, is now also performed in Italy. This is a cutting-edge treatment that consists of simple infiltrations of glucose (therefore water and sugar), a substance capable of causing a sort of acute local inflammation that stimulates multiplication ("prolo" derives from the verb "to proliferate) and activation of fibroblasts, the cells responsible for tissue renewal.
